About – Mikael Blomgren Portfolio

I am currently studying furniture design at Carl Malmsten Furniture Studies, renowned design school in Stockholm. Focus lies on conceptual work, strategic project planning, prototype and model making, graphic design and 3D modelling.

Prior to my design studies I have gathered experience in construction, from piling to finishing works of hotels in Stockholm and St Petersburg, Russia.

I have a Bachelor of Business (Major in Marketing) from Griffith University in Australia which has helped me alot in my design studies because of the similarities in process and strategy. Combined with work experience this has taught me alot about businesses.

I want to learn from a creative firm where everything is possible. Product design, interior & spatial design, architecture and branding are all things that I want to see up close and in practice and to gain an understanding of what my role could be in the future.
